Indian Air Force Receives Twin-Seater Trainer Version of LCA Tejas from HAL

HAL handed over the twin-seater trainer version of LCA Tejas to the Indian Air Force in Bengaluru on October 4, 2023. This marks a further milestone in the Tejas programme, which has been at the heart of India's indigenous fighter development effort.

HAL maintains firm orders for 18 twin-seater aircraft from the IAF, with deliveries expected to continue through 2026–27. The aircraft is a lightweight, all-weather, multi-role 4.5-generation platform.
