India Selects the Navy Rafale
India announced the selection of the Naval Rafale, acquiring 26 aircraft to complement the IAF's 36 Rafales. India becomes the first country to operate both Rafale variants.
The Indian Government announced the selection of the Naval Rafale to equip the Indian Navy, following an international competition and a successful trial campaign conducted in India.
India will acquire 26 Naval Rafale aircraft to complement the 36 Rafales already in service with the Indian Air Force, making India the first country in the world to operate both versions of the aircraft.
Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier stated: "As we celebrate the 70th anniversary of our partnership with the Indian Forces, I would like to thank the Indian authorities for this new mark of confidence."
