Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) handed over the Twin-Seater trainer version of LCA Tejas to the Indian Air Force in Bengaluru on October 04. HAL has an order of 18 Twin-Seater from IAF and is planning to deliver eight Twin-Seater in FY 2023-24. Further, 10 Twin-Seater would be delivered progressively by 2026-27. LCA Tejas Twin-Seater is a lightweight, all-weather multi-role 4.5 generation aircraft.
The SETP & SFTE Indian Sections organised a joint event on 02 Jun 2023 to welcome the 45th Flight Test Course which passed out from Indian Air Force Test Pilots School (IAFTPS), ASTE, Bangalore on 19 May 2023. The course consisted of 10 Pilots and 04 Aeronautical Engineers.
Ten Test Pilots and fourFlight Test Engineers of the 45th Flight Test Course graduated from the Air Force Test Pilots School (AFTPS) in Bangalore yesterday, after successfully completing 47 weeks of a rigorous and multi-discipline training curriculum. AFTPS is integral to the Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), and is among the eight recognised Test Pilot Schools globally.
