Job Opening – NTPS Fixed Wing Test Pilot Instructor

The National Test Pilot School seeks an experienced Fixed Wing Test Pilot Instructor to join their flight test education team. Responsibilities include developing course materials and delivering both academic and airborne instruction in Performance & Loads, Systems, and Flight Qualities curricula to test pilot and flight test engineer students. Required qualifications include graduation from a SETP-recognized test pilot school, bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, minimum 3-5 years fixed wing experimental test pilot experience, FAA Medical 2nd Class certification, and fluency in English. Desired qualifications encompass ten+ years flight test experience, prior instructional experience at test pilot schools, master's degree in engineering, civil certification and systems testing background, FAA commercial pilot and CFI/MEI ratings, type ratings including S-265 and T-38, EASA flight test instructor rating, and NVG/helmet-mounted display experience. The salary range is $200,000–$250,000 annually with relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, three weeks paid time off, and 401(k) matching.
