India selected the Navy Rafale after successful trial campaigns. India will receive 26 aircraft to join 36 already in service with the IAF.
The Indian Government announced the selection of the Navy Rafale to equip the Indian Navy with a latest-generation fighter following an international competition. The decision came after successful trial campaigns in India, where the Navy Rafale demonstrated it fully met operational requirements. India will receive 26 Rafale aircraft to join 36 already in service with the Indian Air Force, making India the first country to operate both air force and naval versions of the aircraft.
