For Mountain War Against China, Is India's LCH Helicopter Superior To America's AH-64E Apache?

India deployed indigenous LCH helicopters rather than US-made AH-64E Apaches to Ladakh, citing better suitability for high-altitude operations in the Himalayas.

India has deployed attack helicopters to a disputed region in the Himalayan mountains. Rather than sending its newer U.S.-manufactured AH-64E Apache helicopters—considered among the world's most advanced attack aircraft—India has instead dispatched the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), an indigenous design that the Indian military regards as better suited for high-altitude operations. Two LCH units have been deployed to Ladakh following border skirmishes between Indian and Chinese forces in June. The Indian military has placed orders for 30 LCH aircraft from HAL.
